A Romantic Vistula River Cruise
A walk along the Vistula in February, even without snow or frost, can be pleasant and romantic, but it doesn’t sound particularly inviting. For this reason, our first suggestion is something that sounds like a scene from a movie but is available to everyone—locals and visitors alike: a cruise on the Vistula aboard a heated boat.
It’s a great option for a unique experience and for seeing the city from a different perspective than usual. You’ll spend time together in warmth and comfort, while outside the majestic Wawel Castle and atmospheric Kazimierz glide by. There’s no need to rush, and you don’t have to battle the wind or the cold of the river.

Valentine’s Day in Kraków for Music Lovers
Another romantic idea for an unforgettable Valentine’s evening in Kraków—especially for lovers of classical music—is the Kraków Golden Concerts – Valentine’s Film Music Concerts. They are held in the ballroom of the Pałac Pod Baranami on the Main Market Square. During the concert, the greatest romantic hits from famous films are performed in baroque interiors dripping with gold and history. Acoustics, atmosphere, elegance—this is an event that calls for appropriate attire and is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Another option is the concert “Where Love Lives…” organized by the Kraków Opera. During this over two-hour event, soloists and special guests perform, together with an orchestra, choir, and ballet ensemble, hits from operettas and timeless songs from the most popular musicals, such as My Fair Lady, Hello, Dolly!, Man of La Mancha, and Fiddler on the Roof.
Yet another suggestion is the “Queen Classic Concert By Candle Glow” at the Royal Chopin Hall at 2 Bernardyńska Street. During the event, Queen’s greatest hits are performed in new artistic arrangements accompanied by violins, cello, and piano. The 17th-century baroque hall at the foot of Wawel captivates with its appearance, acoustics, and atmosphere, making it a perfect Valentine’s idea for music lovers.

Not on Valentine’s Day itself, but a few days earlier—on February 11—a Valentine’s concert titled “Ballads of Love” will take place at Kino Kijów Centrum. The organizers promise hits by Céline Dion, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Elvis Presley, as well as songs like I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston, I Wanna Hold Your Hand by The Beatles, and Make You Feel My Love by Adele.
Staying in a musical mood, we also suggest an unconventional event for couples: Silent Love at TAURON Arena Kraków. This is something completely different from a traditional concert or a candlelit dinner—it’s a giant dance party with headphones.
Participants choose the music channel that suits them and dance to whatever they hear through their headphones. It’s a great option for many couples. If you have different musical tastes—you can still have fun together. If you like the same music—you can choose exactly what you enjoy without paying attention to other participants. During the event, don’t forget to take off your headphones for a moment to hear the shuffling of thousands of shoes in silence—a priceless experience!
Our Hotel Swing and Quickstep Restaurant
If you want to escape the bustle of the Main Market Square, we recommend our Hotel Swing, because we have a recipe for a successful evening.
For those hungry for culinary experiences, we recommend our Valentine’s dinner at Quickstep Restaurant, with two menu options to choose from, featuring signature dishes prepared especially for this evening by our Head Chef. Elegant, delicious, and set in a calm, intimate atmosphere. Afterwards, you can relax in our sauna or put yourselves in the hands of our talented massage therapists. This special evening doesn’t have to end with just dinner, right?
We also have something for visitors from outside Kraków. If you’re not local, the perfect complement—whether to a concert or a dinner—will be a romantic stay at our Hotel Swing. A comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast the next morning—what more could you want? It’s an option for those who want to extend the Valentine’s atmosphere until morning.

For Those Who Like Something Different
On February 14, a Valentine’s tram for lovers will be running through Kraków. It’s a specially selected tram offering a ride in an unusual atmosphere. Decorated with balloons and accompanied by romantic music, it offers free rides around the city in the afternoon and evening hours.
Another unconventional option is “Valentine’s Painting with Wine” at the Guild of Food Crafts at 18 Westerplatte Street. It’s an event for those who want to try something new, as well as for those who love painting. The package includes wine and snacks, a complete painting set, and support from a professional painter. Everyone takes their artwork home as a keepsake.
A Walk Around Kraków
After dinner or a concert, it’s worth going for a walk around the city—weather permitting. A popular destination for couples is Father Bernatek’s Footbridge, which connects the atmospheric Kazimierz district with Podgórze. Its distinctive feature is the railing covered with padlocks left by couples in love. In the evening, it’s beautifully illuminated, and the balancing sculptures overhead add an artistic flair.
Another stop on a walking route is the beautifully lit Wawel Castle. Museums close earlier, but walking around the castle and across the hill to admire Kraków after dark is a perfect stop on a romantic stroll.
Valentine’s Day in Kraków doesn’t have to mean dinner at a restaurant on the Main Market Square surrounded by tourists. On this day, the city offers many different options—from concerts and theater performances to unconventional events like Silent Love or painting with wine. No matter what you choose, the most important thing is that you’re together. Don’t forget to book your tickets or reservations in advance—this way you’ll enjoy the evening exactly the way you want, without stress.
Happy Valentine’s Day and lots of love! ❤️
